Demons star Christian Petracca has kicked a goal in the property market making a winning play for a pricey piece of real estate.

Fresh from being part of the Melbourne Footy Club’s historic AFL grand final win in Perth, the champion midfielder is understood to have splashed out more than $5m on a family home in the upmarket suburb of Armadale.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home with soaring ceilings and period detailing on a large block was estimated to attract bidding in the range of $5.3m and property sources say the home was sold privately in November for just under $5.4m.

It features an architect designed extension at the back of the house which provides light-filled open plan living and floor to ceiling glass which looks out over a lush private garden and pool.

Petracca and his partner Bella Beischer are seen delightedly posing in front of their new purchase in an image posted as part of a year in review collection of snaps on Petracca’s social media.

One of the shining lights of the AFL, Petracca signed a seven-year contract extension with the Demons in May last year estimated to be worth between $6-$6.5m. The deal effectively makes him a Demon for his playing life as he will be 33 when it expires in 2029.

Another contract Petracca has signed is with KIIS FM. He will continue to be a regular guest with the Jase & Lauren breakfast show during 2022.
