Nick Kyrgios’s girlfriend Costeen Hatzi shares details of how the couple first met

Nick Kyrgios’s girlfriend Costeen Hatzi has revealed the tennis star used an unusual excuse to line up his first meeting with the stunning blogger.

Who said romance was dead! Australian Open doubles victor Nick Kyrgios used the excuse of buying a mirror to slide into the DMs of his now girlfriend Costeen Hatzi.

Kyrgios contacted the Sydney blogger, who also has a homewares business, to buy a mirror he had seen on her business page.

But it was not the mirror that interested him — but the reflection of Hatzi’s in it.

“He was apparently scrolling through Insta and saw my business account post (a selfie of me in the mirror),” Hatzi recounted on social media.

“He messaged my business account asking if the mirror was available for pick-up and then messaged my personal (account) asking the same thing.

“It was a professional/friendly conversation and then he came to pick up the mirror from Sydney.”

Kyrgios was clearly interested in more than just picking up the wall decoration. The pair has been dating now for several months and brought their passion to Melbourne Park on more than occasion during the open.

“I had no idea this was all a plan, I literally thought he was buying a mirror,” she said.

“He picked up the mirror and, as he would say, ‘it was love at first sight’. After that he moved all of his work and training to Sydney and has pretty much been living in Sydney since.”
