Clearly handy with a paint brush and hammer, Richmond coach Damien Hardwick and his partner Alexandra Crow have transformed their $2 million bayside love nest.
Crow has been enthusiastically chronicling their ‘Block-like’ makeover of a 142 year-old terrace house they purchased in Elwood in June last year for $2.3 million on social media.
And to be fair they have done hell of a job breathing new life into what was a grand but weathered house with a story to tell.
It is not just freshly polished floorboards and gleaming cornices that appear on the Instagram dedicated to the prettying up of the property; even tough nut Hardwick pops up on the grid with the premiership coach striking the occasional ‘enjoying the serenity’ pose on the balcony/front porch or is snapped in handyman mode hanging artwork.
Speaking of art, even a topless Bromley is part of the overhaul of the home.
There appears to be little of the property that has not been made over - from the front and back gardens, screen door, balcony, titles on the porch, front fence, bathrooms and fresh coats of paint everywhere.
“Annnnd…..She. Is. Back. 7 months post settlement. What a glow up for the old girl. We are obsessed,” a note on the home’s social media account read.
Crow, who was the head head of stakeholder engagement at Richmond, has left the club and joined a sports betting company.
Her relationship with Hardwick, whose 25-year marriage ended sometime in 2020, was confirmed in January 2021.
