Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has seemingly enthusiastically embraced the challenge of overhauling a 141 year-old Elwood terrace with his new Tigerland partner, with an Instagram page being set up to chart the progress of the renovation project.
Both Hardwick and his partner, Richmond footy club’s head of stakeholder engagement, Alexandra Crow appear on the grid of images on the @bayside_terrace page which follows “the reno journey” of a grand but weathered two storey Elwood home.
The house featured in the pictures is the $2.3 million home the pair bought in June.
While neither are named on the page and the page is pitched as the story of the overhaul of the home, Hardwick is seen in one shot pondering floorboards while a woman in a Jaggad sweatshirt – presumably Crow – is pictured in a bathroom taking a mirrored selfie. Their dog, Hank also appears in several photos.

Chirpy notes about renovation needs of each room accompany the photos.
The page introduces itself with an exterior image of the imposing house.
“This beauty was built in 1880 in beautiful Elwood. She’s bruised but not broken,” it reads.
“Converted into 2 apartments, both 2 bdrm/1bth – top and bottom with an external staircase. the short term plan is to give her a spruce up both internally and externally and utilise her flexibility.
“Long term plan. convert her back to one, honouring her heritage and original features whilst moulding her modern.
“She is stunning and her foundations are in great condition.
“She has so much potential and we can’t wait to bring her back to life.”
Another caption notes that the upstairs apartment will be used as an AIRBNB in the short term.
