Controversial biochemist Shane Charter ties the knot with Toby Mitchell by his side

Headline prone biochemist Shane Charter has tied the knot, with a controversial guestlist including Toby Mitchell, Warwick Capper and Jake King.

Headline prone biochemist Shane Charter has tied the knot Melbourne with a guard of motorcyclists that included tennis fanatic Toby Mitchell, appearing in wedding photos with the newlyweds.

Charters exchanged vows with personal trainer Caroline Bakker, who is known by her Instagram handle as @amazonwarriorau, in the Carlton Gardens on Friday evening.

Guests included Mitchell, former footy high flyer Warwick Capper, Jake King, gym owner Tony Doherty and fitness expert Sue Stanley.

Former Channel 10 weatherman Mike Larkan was the couple’s wedding celebrant for their special day.

Charter, who with sports scientist Stephen Dank was a key player in the Essendon Bombers’ 2012 supplement scandal, and Bakker had seven motorcyclist flank them as they posed for wedding photos outside the Royal Exhibition Building.

Former Richmond player King was one of the riders along with the controversial Mitchell.
