Cass Thorburn’s next steps after Dancing with the Stars

Cass Thorburn might have made her exit on Dancing with the Stars, but she’s not done with reality TV yet. Is a romance-led show on the horizon for Karl Stefanovic’s ex-wife?

Cass Thorburn is not done with reality TV just yet.

The former wife of ex-Today host Karl Stefanovic has revealed she would be keen to be the next Bachelorette.

“I think it is time they did a Bachelorette for a divorced person, don’t you think,” Thorburn said.

“I think it is time and I would put my hand up. None of them (Bachelorettes) seem to be getting married from it, they just get a great date. I would not mind a couple of dates.

“I am planting the seed.”

Thorburn, 48, who was laughing when she made her pitch for the reality romance role, has already landed a semi-regular role on Studio 10 since being voted off Dancing with the Stars last week, and she is open to further opportunities.

“I don’t know what is going to come my way, I hope it is good and I will be working hard to make that happen,” she said.

“There are a lot of people out there who, like I did, took extended periods of time out of their career for whatever reason.

“We should not be underestimated. Just because we stayed at home does not mean we did not make a lot of decisions that affect society.”

As a side note, Channel 10 is understood to have not yet signed the next Bachelorette.
