Bailey Smith’s former flame swaps codes in new love match

Bulldogs’ star Bailey Smith’s ex girlfriend Cartia Mallan appears to have found love with a high-profile Chelsea soccer player.

Western Bulldogs star Bailey Smith’s former gal pal has crossed codes, swapping an interest in AFL for a love match in English soccer.

Smith was linked to influencer “it” girl Cartia Mallan in late 2021 with the pair regularly posting snaps on social media of them spending time together in Queensland.

Smith even chose Mallan’s podcast, Common Chaos, to tell of his battle with fame and revealed he had struggled with eating disorders, panic attacks and anxiety.

They were the AFL’s hottest unconfirmed couple for a while.

Smith is now dating Gemma Dawkins while Mallan was revealed by the Daily Mail this week to be the new woman in the life of Chelsea soccer star Ben Chilwell.

Chilwell, 25, reportedly earns a whopping $344,000 ($AUD) a week thanks to his ball skills. The pair have grown close over the past four months.

Chilwell did not play for England in the World Cup owing to a hamstring injury.

Mallan moved from Queensland to London in December last year. Earlier this year she was linked to Raff Law, son of actor Jude Law and Sadie Frost.
