From Ariana Grande’s frilly bits to the latest red carpet political stunts, Fashion Critical has cast an eye over the frocks and shocks on this year’s Grammys red carpet — and the social media sensation did not hold back.

Grammys red carpet 2020: The best, the worst, the weird and the wonderful

There were frocks and shocks galore at this year’s Grammys, with music stars flashing the flesh and making bold statements on the red carpet.

Fashion Critical runs an eye over the night’s most head-turning outfits.

CHRISSY TEIGEN AND JOHN LEGEND

We’d better start off with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, who look pretty much awesome, because it goes severely downhill from here.

Chrissie’s dress is following the recent gynaecological fashion trend where dresses look a little like fallopian tubes and what not, but she looks stunning and rocks the orange.

I’m not sure what John’s doing here in his regal suit. It’s a no for me.

Not sure if this chap in chaps is in the pro, or against Trump camp, but he appears to have also gone for the classy, understated look. It’s the Grammys after all.

What did the actual dress code say for this shindig? Like WHAT could it have said? Wild West Barbie called and needs her outfit back, buddy.

SHANIA TWAIN

Shania Twain seems to have returned from obscurity, and doesn’t seem to have caught up with the FARSHUN of today. This is a veritable disaster, though I would definitely make enquiries if I had to be somewhere flashy on Halloween.

I don’t know who this is or why her political persuasions are as such, but I do know that her outfit is about as classy and high quality as her president.

ARIANA GRANDE

Call the lads from Bondi Rescue because Ariana Grande is literally DROWNING in tulle. Sending thoughts and prayers for when she needs to hit up the loos.

Billy Porter has done the right thing by shielding his eyes from the hell that is the Grammys red carpet.

He’s really pushing the envelope on his red carpet outfits this year – though I feel like the envelope that contained the invitation to this soiree should maybe have been thrown in the trash. And set on fire.
