F1 star Daniel Ricciardo reveals what’s next for his future after McLaren dumping

The eight-time Grand Prix champion has quietly revealed what’s next for his future after his contract with McLaren was torn up.

Displaced Formula 1 star Daniel Ricciardo has seemingly revealed his next passion project as he transitions to life without racing.

The eight-time Grand Prix winner quietly launched a second Instagram profile just days ago showcasing photographs he appeared to capture on the streets of New York.

Its inaugural post shows the 33-year-old, whose contract with McLaren was terminated 12 months early, showing off his million-dollar smile.

“I just started pressing the button,” Ricciardo captioned the post.

A second post read: “Still don’t know what I’m doing but I like it.”

Champion snowboarder and good friend Scotty James makes several appearances on the page, which has since amassed more than 308K followers.

Riccardo’s partner, actress Heidi Berger, also makes an appearance as the two walk the streets of Manhattan. The pair went public with their romance in August this year.

Berger is the daughter of 10-time Grand Prix winner Gerhard Berger, who represented Ferrari and McLaren during his 14-year F1 tenure.

The Los Angeles-based athlete appears to have taken up the new hobby with help of fellow F1 star and Riccardo’s former McLaren teammate Lando Norris.

“Thank lando.jpg for this one, he’s such a trendsetter,” he wrote.

Fans shared their delight at the news, after the star recently revealed he sought the help of a psychologist when his struggles with McLaren became apparent.

“So excited to see more of your life,” one follower commented.

“This is what we like to see,” another said.

While plans for his racing future are yet to be confirmed, it is understood either a driver role with Mercedes or former team Red Bull could bring his return to the grid in 2024.
