Essendon star Darcy Parish and wife Grace are expecting their first child.

The couple, who married in January last year, announced the happy news on Monday night.

“Part of me and part of you! Baby Parish coming in July 2024. We couldn’t be more excited to grow our little family.”

Darcy and Grace posted pictures to social media showing their excitement and Grace’s growing baby bump.

“Feeling well and just so grateful for this journey,’’ said Grace, a business entrepreneur.

“Just to keep things interesting (I’m due) right in footy season! A little baby Bomber!”

It’s a joyous time for the family with Grace’s sister-in-law Chantelle Stanton due to give birth soon.

Midfielder Parish re-signed with the Bombers in August until the end of 2028.

He and Grace tied the knot at Mount Duneed Estate in Geelong at the end of January last year, just 20 minutes away from where Parish grew up on his family farm.

They exchanged vows before 197 guests and a bridal party with three groomsmen and three bridesmaids.

Ahead of the day Grace said: “We are so excited.”

“We have been together for eight years and couldn’t be more ready to embark on this next chapter.”
