Richmond’s Tom Lynch proposes to Olivia Burke, Carlton’s Jack Silvagni to marry Grace Phillips

The son of Carlton legend Stephen Silvagni is celebrating his engagement to partner Grace Phillips, capping off a weekend of romance for many AFL stars.

The AFL’s off-season of love continues with Richmond Tigers key forward Tom Lynch the latest star to propose to his longtime partner.

Lynch took to one knee early Saturday morning during a venture to an inner-city Melbourne dog park with girlfriend Olivia Burke and their beloved pooch Gryff.

The future Mrs Lynch shared the delightful news to social media Sunday afternoon, captioning the post: “7.20am yesterday morning at the dog park, never been more shocked in my life.”

Burke, a talented jewellery designer and senior marketing manager for bridal brand Chosen by Kyha and its offshoot Kyha Studios, said she could not stop crying.

Lynch, 30, shared a similar post alongside three love hearts.

A series of intimate photos were shared online showing the brunette beauty in clear shock, mouth agape as Lynch presented her with a ring.

The pair returned home soon after where it is understood Ms Burke’s Gold Coast-based parents showed up to congratulate the newly engaged couple.

It comes after a big year on the field for Lynch, clocking up more than 200 games with the Tigers and taking home the club’s Jack Dyer medal in September.
Their engagement came on the same day as Carlton star Jack Silvagni who proposed to Grace Phillips.
The 25 year-old son of Blues legend Stephen and model wife Jo, celebrated with friends on Sunday and was inundated with well wishes from the likes of Patrick Cripps, Marc Murphy, Nadia Bartel and Brooke Hogan.

His brother Ben cheekily commented on Carlton’s congratulations post: “Can’t wait for their fourth generation Carlton son.”

Grace Phillips and Jack Silvagni are engaged

Another of their friends got engaged last month — Dale Thomas and Natasha Bongiorno during an idyllic getaway to Daylesford.

A spate of players have also taken advantage of their break to tie the knot including Collingwood’s Steele Sidebottom, Greater Western Sydney co-captain Stephen Coniglio, GWS veteran Phil Davis, Sydney Swans star Luke Parker and Richmond’s Nathan Broad.
