New Neighbours recruit Rob Mills says he’s not buff enough to compete with the chiselled bros on Ramsay St.
Mills, playing mysterious character and amnesia sufferer Finn Kelly, has joined the popular Ten soap after having a bit-part role on the show in 2016.
“I’m in good shape and I’m training, but I’m 37 this year, and it takes a lot to keep off the excess body fat,” Mills told Confidential.

“It’s up to the Matt Wilsons and Scotty McGregors on the show to get their rigs out. My brother on the show, played by Brad Moller, he’s done some modelling and he’s very chiselled.
“I like to think I’ve got the body of someone who’s been in a coma, so that’s good. My character is not on the show for his rig. He’s there for the high quality drama.”
Mills, a former Australian Idol contestant and pop singer turned musical theatre star, said he is thrilled to move to Erinsborough.
“I’m gonna be in the opening credits!” he said, proudly.
“For a kid who grew up not far from (the Neighbours set in Nunawading), it’s exciting.”
His character’s bout of forgetfulness means a blank slate Mills is keen to build upon.
“I was a bad guy when I started. I’m resurrected with retrograde amnesia, and now I’m a good guy. In true soap style, you can turn your life around.
“I’ve been in musicals for the past 10 years. And with musicals, you have to do what’s been done before. Now I have the opportunity to create my own character.”
