Rhonda Burchmore says being part of I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! was the no.1 bravest thing she has done in her career.

The showbiz legend, who was the last woman standing on the show, admits it was lucky she didn’t realise how bad conditions would get in the jungle.

“I’ve had so many people saying surely it’s not as bad as it looks. It’s worse,’’ Burchmore said.

“On any particular night, because I was right at the edge, baboons would pee on your head, they would throw fruit on your head, scorpions in your bed, snakes on your bed and tics.

“You don’t see that on the television. I’m so glad I didn’t watch too much of it before I went in because I don’t think I would have ever gone in. It was extreme.”

Burchmore, who was queen of the tucker trials, said she drew inspiration from her late sister.

“No.1 for brave. I don’t want to sound soppy, people went, ‘my god how did you get through those food trials’.

“That was the most gross thing I’ve ever done in my life.

“Eating impala anus with rat’s intestines. All I used to do was think that my sister who died, that was the charity I went in for, I just used to channel that this is going to be all over in minutes. Whereas she couldn’t do anything about it.”

Burchmore was a guest today at the Grand Prix, attending the Mercedes-Benz Ladies Day at Albert Park.

“I’m back to my normal weight,’’ she said.

“I’m so glad to have clean sheets, hot shower, my dogs, husband and Lexie.

“They’re the things I missed most of all.

“I did look a bit like Linda Blair out of The Exorcist or The Terminator. It’s not until literally I got back and I’ve seen how scary I look, it’s like I’m possessed by this other creature.

“I just went in and thought bugger it.

“This is the first time Australia is going to see me with no make up and depending on how they edit they’ll see me vomit or burp or do a tap dance and it’s a really lovely positive thing that’s come out of it.”
