The three finalists on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! will be reunited with their loved ones in tomorrow night’s finale.
Dale Thomas’s girlfriend Natasha, Rhonda Burchmore’s daughter Lexie and Miguel Maestre’s wife Sascha have all made the trip to the jungle.
PR executive Natasha Bongiorno said besides his family, particularly 4 year-old daughter Tilly, Thomas would most be missing KFC.
“KFC, and his bed. And being able to play golf,’’ she said.
“I’m going to bawl my eyes out when I see him.
“I’m so proud just because I know him on a personal level and a lot of people close to me who don’t know Dale or AFL players, have a certain view of them.
“Knowing Dale personally I knew the viewers would be so surprised and really fall in love with him.
“He’s so much more than you think, kind and generous, I love that everyone has got to see the kind of person he is because of this. I’m so proud of everything he’s done.”
Burchmore’s video journalist daughter Lexie Jeuniewic said even she has been surprised by her mum’s efforts.
“The determination in her eyes and pushing herself to the absolute limits, we’re all so proud,’’ she said.
“Thank goodness there’s a photographer there to capture all those moments. I’ve watched them all and saved them all.
“She never stops learning, even at this point in her career.
“I feel like now they can probably see the finish line and she’d be so ready to be out of there and come home to the dogs and the house.”
Lexie said her mum would be missing the simple things most.
“Just taking some time for herself, she’s very social but loves her own time too,’’ she said.
“Taking time to walk the dogs, watching telly, eating connoisseur ice cream, just the simple things.
“They’re all winners now.”
