Rebecca Judd’s new Jaggad campaign shot by unlikely celebrity photographer

The new campaign for Rebecca Judd’s athleisure label was forced to relocate from Byron Bay to Brighton — but that didn’t stop an unlikely celebrity photographer from getting behind the lens.

Rebecca Judd has called on husband Chris to shoot her in the new campaign for their celebrity favourite athleisure label Jaggad.

Covid restrictions meant they were unable to proceed with pre-planned shoots for the cult label in Byron Bay and Sydney, so they ended up shooting some of the images in their Brighton backyard.

“We had so many false starts with this campaign with the ever-changing COVID restrictions but I’m proud of the team for their flexibility during these times.

“For my shots, we’d planned to shoot it in three previous locations with each being cancelled at the last minute; Byron Bay, Sydney and South Melbourne respectively and then finally my backyard,” she said.

“Georges Antoni, acclaimed Sydney photographer, directed the shoots via Zoom and Facetime and it was a mix of screen grabs and/or another person present in the house, ie my husband, taking photos on my iPhone while his iPhone was on Facetime to Georges so he could watch the shoot live and give direction for each shot.”

In launching the fourth capsule collection, the entirety of the BEC X JAGGAD campaign was produced virtually, featuring a series of inspirational women from around the world.

“JAGGAD is all about embracing and celebrating unstoppable women so I reached out to a group of Australian women both locally and internationally to see how social distancing had affected the way they work-out and what life at home looked like during the pandemic.

“Each woman featured represents the unstoppable nature of our brand — showing us how they wear the collection and how they stay active at home.

“It features Jessica Gomes, Cameron Stephens, Sarsha Chisholm, Natalie Roser, Laura Henshaw and our co-founder Michelle Greene.”

The BEC X JAGGAD collection includes 19 pieces for women, fusing high performance with fashion.

The range inc ludes activewear, loungewear, and in a first for the brand, the introduction of swimwear.
