Millionaire businessman Adrian Portelli has revealed more details about plans for his $39m penthouse in the city.
On Wednesday — depending on the weather — his prized $3m McLaren Senna GTR will be craned up to the 57 and 58-level double-storey space near Carlton Gardens.
“Fingers crossed that goes smoothly ... the worst that could happen is I could lose my car,” he said of the vehicle bought in South Australia.
“It is rare and a good investment piece.
“Working alongside Shangri-La hotel, they’ve been good. I think it was a bargain (for $39m). “People got so offended when I said it’s a weekender. I didn’t mean it in a cocky way, I just don’t want to live there. I like the western suburbs and I tend to keep to myself.”
The penthouse will be liveable in 12-18 months time.
Portelli now owns more than 20 properties across Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia and is about to enter developments in New South Wales.
Also an owner of 40-plus cars, he is enjoying sharing his wealth.
On Friday night he gave away another million dollars to a lucky member of his LMCT+ tech business.
It’s the seventh house or money giveaway he’s completed through his promotions and giveaway business.
“I enjoy changing someone’s life and I don’t think anyone else has ever done that,’’ he said.
“It is a double-edged sword because then you do disappoint thousands.”
Portelli is seeking a buyer for the LMCT+ business to take it global.
“I want to handball it off to someone who can do that,’’ he said.
