Influencer Mia Fevola has bravely opened up about her mental health battle.
The step daughter of AFL great Brendan Fevola and MALLT Collective founder told her Instagram followers that last Saturday “I was at my lowest point and that really reflected in my health.”
“I’ve never had an unhealthy relationship with food but it was the combination of coeliac disease and the way stress would affect my appetite,” she said.
She went onto say that her weight had fluctuated a lot over the last year, largely influenced by her mental health.
She shared the update along with two photos side-by-side, showing her in November 2021 and what she looks like now.
“It’s really hard for me to see the picture on the left,” Ms Fevola said.
“I’ve worked so hard on my health and it certainly hasn’t been linear, but my emphasis has always been on healthy weight gain which I still believe isn’t talked about enough,” she said.
“I feel happy and strong right now and I want to share that because I see so much emphasis on weight loss on social media. I hope this gives some hope to those that also feel it’s impossible like I did,” she said.
Ms Fevola has previously opened up about her physical health battles, revealing in 2021 her coeliac diagnosis.
