Married at First Sight: Dean feels ‘guilty’ over ruining Davina and Ryan’s ‘marriage’

MARRIED at First Sight contestant Dean says he’s “not proud” he cosied up to fellow participant Davina — but there’s something that kept him in “wife” Tracey’s arms.

REALITY show love rat Dean Wells says he feels guilty about ruining the marriage of fellow contestants Davina Rankin and Ryan Gallagher.

“I do feel guilty for that. I was only thinking about myself. I was quite selfish,” Wells told Confidential.

“I didn’t realise I was putting Ryan and Davina in that situation. I’m not proud of that.”

Wells, ‘wed’ to Tracey Jewel on Nine’s hit show Married At First Sight, had a secret tryst with Rankin, whose ‘husband’ is Gallagher.

But, after texts and a sly drink at a bar, Wells stopped short of having an affair with Rankin, leaving her exposed to an unforgiving Gallagher.

But Jewel says Rankin plotted her own downfall.

“It takes two to tango. She put herself in that situation,” Jewel said.

“She was badmouthing Ryan from their wedding day.”

Wells says he got cold feet about Rankin after her needy behaviour during their secret meeting.

“She came on a bit too strong ... she scared me off a little bit with the things she was saying,” Wells said.

“She was basically acting like my wife straight away, and we barely knew each other. It made me appreciate Tracey for the interesting and awesome person she is.”

Wells said he was also proud to showcase his creative side on the show, including passions for skateboarding and hip hop. He performed a rap for Jewel, professing his love in rhyme.

“I used to be in a hip hop band for seven years. We played lots of shows, recorded lots of music and had a great time. But that’s in my past now.,” he said.

“I thought (the rap) would be an interesting way for Tracey and I to bond. She’s a writer, she’s a creative. I wanted to show her a different side to me.”
