Lauren Phillips’ wild night on Ed Sheeran’s party bus

Lauren Phillips says she was terrified to be put in charge of the playlist on board Ed Sheeran’s star-studded party bus birthday bash.

Lauren Phillips has revealed details of her wild night partying with superstar Ed Sheeran to celebrate his birthday.

Phillips was in Brisbane at the weekend to attend Sheeran’s concert with friends including Chris and Liam Hemsworth.

They all got together on a party bus Sunday night.

“We have only recently met through mutual friends and it was his birthday on Friday so we all went up to see his show in Brisbane,’’ Phillips said on Jase & Lauren on KIIS FM on Monday.

“We had a little cake backstage, I nearly missed the show because I got lost backstage.

“We did a big Friday, we all came to the show which was really fun and then Ed has to perform Friday, Saturday, Sunday so he was like, why don’t we do something on Sunday night, which was last night.

“We went to the show and then ended up on a party bus with smoke machines, lights and dancing around like teenagers.

“We had Backstreet Boys going, Eminem … the most anxiety inducing moment was when I got handed the phone controlling the music.

“I threw the phone at Ed’s wife Cherry, this is just way too much pressure for me.”

She added: “I didn’t bust any moves. I didn’t sit quietly in the corner but I wasn’t doing the worm”.

Phillips said Chris Hemsworth and Sheeran did a tool swap – a Thor hammer for a guitar – on Friday night.

“(Ed) is lovely,’’ she said.

“He is sort of what you see is what you get with him. He is a lot of fun, he is very kind, very considerate. He spent time up here meeting some kids in the hospitals, going to schools, he is just a real genuine dude.”

She said it was worth the lack of sleep.

“What I will say is anyone who gets the opportunity to go to that show you must go. It’s the most extraordinary show.”
