Sharon Johal has dismissed suggestions of tension between her and the other teams on The Block.

Johal said she and husband Ankur Dogra were the only couple who didn’t have an issue with the boys who walked away with a mammoth win, Omar Slaimankhel and Osman ‘Oz’ Said.

Last week Tom Calleja and Sarah-Jane Wilson said they had no interest in pursuing a friendship with Johal and Dogra.

“I don’t know what that’s about as we were all there together and we’re the only ones that are friends with all the couples,’’ Johal said.

Omar and Oz are the biggest Block winners ever.

“No one else is really talking to the boys and haven’t been for some time, they’ve had issues for ages, but we’re fine. I don’t know why Tom said that, it was quite unnecessary and nasty.”

Johal said she was surprised that Tom and Sarah-Jane didn’t win after going in as favourites — they walked away with just $20,000 profit compared to Omar and Oz with over $1.5m.

“They were confident that they were going to win the whole thing really,’’ she said.

“Going in as favourites, even airtime wise, they were definitely pushed as the favourites the whole season, winning a lot of rooms. That was the biggest shock of the day.

“Now we’re in a position where we just need to sell this house and I think we will. I think it will be a better outcome to pass in because we know we had interest and now it’s like a private sale. It could be worse, we could have walked away with nothing.”

Johal also declared she was done with reality TV after her “rough” experience on The Block.

The former Neighbours actor said she’ll stick to scripted work.

“Absolutely no more reality TV for us,’’ she said.

“Just the scripted stuff. We’ll see what we do in terms of the lifestyle space but this was one of those life lessons where we got burnt. We’re grateful for the experience even though it wasn’t what we wanted.”
