Real Housewives of Melbourne star Janet Roach has lashed claims new cast members didn’t know the drama they were in for.

Janet Roach has rubbished claims the new cast members of Real Housewives of Melbourne didn’t know what they were in for.

Original cast member Roach said she had heard some of the four new ladies claim they weren’t prepared for the drama.

“They had watched the whole four series previously so I have heard little whispers that they are saying that,’’ Roach said.

“I find that very hard to believe; we’ve got four series under our belt and they’d seen our personalities and what happens on the show.

“Blind Freddy knew what they were coming in for. I call bulls--- on that. How could you not know? I’m pretty sure they had to watch it before they signed on.

“If they were keen they knew the genre and the people. I just find that, personally, an excuse.”

The Real Housewives of Melbourne will preview the new season with Joel Creasey.

Roach, 62, is expected to clash with broadcaster Anjali Rao who she claimed couldn’t keep up on the show.

“I did not really have a problem with Anjali,’’ Roach said.

“We were filming and she didn’t say too much to me off camera and barely two words on camera. I think our problem began later on in filming and I got taken very much off guard with. She was very upset with me and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why.”
