Champion jockey Jamie Kah and fellow jockey Ben Melham have sealed their love with the ultimate Valentine’s Day announcement.
The horse racing couple revealed they are engaged on Wednesday with Kah posting pictures to social media of what she described as the “best day” with a white love heart.
“Through everything you’ve been by my side from the very start, here’s to forever and always @benmelham,” she wrote.
“Ft. my two other favourite boys, dollars and Brax xo.”
Kah and Melham were snapped holding hands while riding her beloved horses.
The sparkling diamond engagement ring was hard to miss along with their smiles.
Melham, who has three children with his former partner, has previously spoken about his relief after Kah suffered a horrific fall almost a year ago at Flemington.
Just last week Kah paid tribute to Melham for his support during her recovery and also after being cleared in December of any wrongdoing in a white powder controversy.
“My friends and family and partner Ben have been amazing, but I think my number one support was my horses at home,” she said.
“Number one was the horses in getting through a rough period.”
Kah, who has been supporting equine therapy charity Racing Hearts, said she was feeling back to 100 per cent.
“Just excited to be back riding after a challenging year,” she said.
“Number one goal is to win a group 1 this year. I’ve been close and now I just want to win one more group one.
“I was really keen to get back to riding. I still can’t remember three months of last year, but I think I’m back to 100 per cent now.”
The first major hint of Kah and Melham’s relationship surfaced in June 2022 when a happy snap of the pair at Royal Ascot was circulated.
Kah was previously engaged to fellow jockey turned trainer Clayton Douglas. Melham and the mother of his children, Karlie Dales, were together for 15 years.
