Georgia Geminder, granddaughter of late cardboard king Richard Pratt, has celebrated her engagement ahead of her October wedding.
The former model is the eldest daughter of the nation’s third-richest woman, Fiona Geminder, and her rich-lister husband Raph Geminder.
She and fiancee Matthew Danos gathered for a party with friends and family on Saturday, with a sweet picture of “all the gals” in the family posted on social media.
It featured Geminder, her sisters Sammy and Bella, mum Fiona, aunt Heloise Pratt and future sister-in-law and mother-in-law.
Geminder announced in May last year that she had said “yes” to investment director Danos. They will exchange vows on October 30 in Melbourne.
Geminder, a former Australian Grand Prix ambassador, spent seven years modelling in Australia, London and Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old has turned businesswoman with the launch of Gem in 2020 and is emerging as a clean beauty entrepreneur as she changes the image of oral heathcare.
Last month she launched the brand’s first pop-up store in Hawksburn Village and has signed a distributor in the UK with intentions of expanding into the US market.
“I think honestly the modelling days are over. I’m really focused on my business and I’ve loved it,’’ Geminder said. “I’ve always been really driven. Modelling was great for then and now I’m loving the buzz of a start-up.”
She said Gem had experienced 1000 per cent growth last year. “I feel like this brand has evolved with me,’’ she said. “I’ve grown into the role.”
