Swim star Emily Seebohm and Married At First Sight star Ryan Gallagher have stepped out for the first time together in Melbourne, with Seebohm sporting one notable item of jewellery.

Emily Seebohm and Ryan Gallagher have sparked engagement rumours after stepping out for the first time together in Melbourne.

The swimmer and MAFS star turned comedian were announced as ambassadors of the Twilight Beach Polo to be held in St Kilda on February 4.

They said they were happy and in love before guests noticed Seebohm sporting a diamond ring on her engagement finger and then heard the couple discussing wedding plans next year.

The couple denied they were engaged but their close relationship is obvious. They became inseparable after meeting on Ten’s reality series The Challenge.

For months their romance was kept under wraps until they revealed their secret on Instagram last week.

“We thought we weren’t supposed to (say anything) for the show,” Seebohm said on Tuesday.

“That’s why we waited.”

Gallagher added: “We eventually got the shits and put our own photo up. We just did it, it’s our relationship and there’s nothing negative about it.”

Seebohm and Gallagher are ambassadors for the Twilight Beach Polo along with Collingwood star Jack Crisp and wife Mikayla.

Seebohm told the Herald Sun it was unexpected to find love on the show.

“I went into The Challenge to be 100 per cent focused on winning the game, Ryan and I quickly became each others’ number one in the game,” she said.

“Ryan is a gentleman and the kindest person I have met. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.”
