Emily Seebohm has opened up on her secret romance with new partner Ryan Gallagher.
The Olympic swimmer and Married at First Sight star met on Channel 10’s reality show The Challenge, but Seebohm says it wasn’t love at first sight.
“I went into The Challenge to be 100 percent focused on winning the game, Ryan and I quickly became each others’ number one in the game,’’ she told Confidential.
“Ryan is a gentleman and the kindest person I have met. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.”
Seebohm and Gallagher have become inseparable and confirmed the relationship by posting on social media this week.
Seebohm captioned a picture on Monday: “Letting you in on a little secret”.
Rumours had been swirling about the pair with comedian Gallagher playing it cool when asked about it on radio last month.
Seebohm and Gallagher will step out in Melbourne on Sunday to attend the South East Melbourne Phoenix basketball game and then the launch of Twilight Beach Polo in St Kilda on Tuesday.
Gallagher didn’t find love on television when matched with Davina Rankin on MAFS.
He then competed on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and briefly dated Geordie Shore star, Charlotte Crosby.
Seebohm also competed on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and told the Herald Sun in October she was dating a mystery man in Sydney.
She said she has no regrets about taking time away from the pool.
“I think it’s going to be hard for me to get back into it because I’ve been out for a while but I needed that break to really refresh my mind and my body,’’ she said.
“I can’t say I regret it at all. I don’t feel like I have unfinished business, I know there’s more I can do but I feel like I’ve completed everything I wanted to do.”
