Troubled North Melbourne midfielder Tarryn Thomas made an appearance at the movie premiere of Air, the story about how Nike signed basketball legend Michael Jordan.
Thomas, who has been stood down by the club, looked to be in good spirits alongside friends at Village Cinemas Jam Factory on Monday night.
His AFL career is at the crossroads as the league investigates fresh allegations he has sent threatening and intimidating text messages to a woman.
Thomas had already been stood down due to his lack of progress in a respect and responsibility counselling program, following separate claims from multiple women alleging he had threatened them.
Many other footballers turned out to see the film starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, including Richmond’s Tim Taranto and Nick Vlastuin, Collingwood ruckman Mason Cox, Bulldogs recruit Rory Lobb, Essendon’s Matt Guelfi and Melbourne Storm’s Ryan Papenhuyzen.
Other guests included Sam and Snezana Wood, celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson, comedian and radio personalities Anthony ‘Lehmo’ and Nick Cody plus top player managers Paul Connors and Robbie D’Orazio.
