Nadia Bartel says she’s taken time to reset as a mum and businesswoman during Melbourne’s many lockdowns.
“It’s almost our new normal (living with lockdowns),’’ she said.
“With kids and homeschooling and Henne and Spray Aus, we’re all trying to make it work.
“You have to keep going and find a way. (My eldest son) Aston being in prep, that’s a big adjustment in itself. He and Henley both have personality and are best friends, they’re so into sport.
“Every morning they’re up at 6.30-7am playing basketball outside. They’re little men now.”
On a beauty level, Bartel, 36, says she’s enjoyed a pop of colour this season.
“I’m really loving the colour blue, to me it’s insane,’’ she said.
“I wear it in activewear and puffers, the world needs a bit of colour.”
Bartel has also become more conscious of the environment and is an ambassador for Maybelline New York’s Greener Together campaign, partnering with global recycling company, TerraCycle, to create Australia’s largest and most accessible in-store recycling solution for makeup in Australia.
The stations will be in every Priceline store nationwide, with a goal to divert at least 50 tonnes of makeup from Australian landfill over the next three years.
“We do it with Henne, any pieces we don’t want we give back to the community,’’ Bartel said.
“Everyone wants to do their part and it’s pretty cool what Maybelline New York are doing.”
