They became a sporting power couple but the relationship is all over for AFLW’s Chloe Molloy and netballer Madi Browne.

AFLW star Chloe Molloy and netballer Madi Browne have separated.

The glamour couple split two months ago but remain close and supportive of each other’s careers.

“Although no longer together, we will always be in each others’ corner and want to see the other striving in life,’’ they told the Herald Sun.

The pair first stepped out together at the gala W Awards in April at Crown.

Australian veteran Browne said she was a plus one for the first time, accompanying Collingwood star Molloy to the season’s black tie night.

“It’s our coming-out party, the first time out and about,” Browne said.

“You see all the hard work and having been the player, it’s sort of a cliche but you know your role.”

Browne, a Collingwood netballer and also a pilates instructor, said Molloy had been a huge support after she recovered from a knee injury last year.

“We’ve gone through some pretty tough stuff over the last year,” Browne said.

“Being in a hub and Chloe came up to Queensland and it was nice to have that moral support. It’s a different type of stress, though, watching her play.”

Molloy, 22, was nominated for goal of the year.

She said: “We’ve been through more than we realise. She’s never seen me play live but it’s nice to come here as each others’ plus one”.

Molloy also told the Herald Sun before the awards that she was grateful for Browne’s support.

“Madi and I are a pretty private couple but I wanted her to come because through the season it’s not just myself who plays, but it’s the people behind the scenes who get you through because it can be so emotionally draining.

“She’s my little team and she’s her own athlete in her respective sport and it’s amazing to have her by my side.”

Last season Collingwood narrowly lost the preliminary final to eventual AFLW champions, Brisbane Lions.
