Bailey Smith has designed his own range of clothing with the Cotton On Team

A trip to Japan helped inspire the Western Bulldogs star to bring his visions to life in his latest venture.

Bailey Smith says some of the ideas for the clothes came from his trip to Japan.

Western Bulldogs star Bailey Smith has taken his love of fashion to a new level by designing his first range of clothing.

Smith previously modelled topless for Cotton On but his latest collaboration with the brand, released on Thursday, was created entirely with his input.

“Designing this range with the Cotton On Team was great, I do have an artistic side, and the brand (Cotton On) was able to help bring a lot of my visions to life in a way that I’m really proud of,’’ Smith said.

“It was important to me to be involved in all steps of the process for each piece in the collection, as I wanted the range to be a reflection of the clothing I love to wear.”

He says the range is a reflection of the clothing he loves to wear.

Smith said there would be no flashy billboards for this 31 piece range; he even went to Japan for inspiration.

“Each piece has a personal connection or story behind it, some were born from our trip to Japan, others were inspired by my love of vintage apparel,’’ he said.

“I really tapped into that creative part of my brain to be able to draw something and then developed the collection from there.”

Smith, the AFL’s most followed player on Instagram, goes by the nickname Bazlenka.

The Cotton On x Bazlenka collaboration is available online and in store from Monday.
