North Melbourne ruckman Tristan Xerri kicked off the celebrations in style when he married his “best friend” Maddison in the first week of October at the Macedon Ranges with the couple’s dog Hazel having a starring role.
Melbourne players gathered at the Royal Botanic Gardens just before Christmas for the wedding of Christian Petracca and Bella Beischer.
The classy couple, who got engaged in Lake Como in October 2022, said I do and then drove off together in a vintage Mercedes.
Some Demons then headed to Bali in January for the coach Simon Goodwin’s wedding with Kristine Brooks. In December, much loved former teammate Angus Brayshaw married Danielle Frawley.
Collingwood players were on hand for the wedding of their former teammate, Sydney’s Taylor Adams, who married Ellie Thornycroft in Queensland in November.
Western Bulldogs players were in celebration mode at the start of January for the wedding of defender Ryan Gardner and his stylist partner Alana Spina in Hobart. The club has also had a spate of engagements including captain Marcus Bontempelli, Ed Richards, Bailey Dale and Tom Liberatore.
St Kilda players watched Zaine Cordy tie the knot with his long-time partner Georgia Ringersma in Willaura, Victoria.
In November Carlton players were shocked when defender Jacob Weitering’s engagement turned into a surprise wedding with Isabel Kahan.
The ceremony took place at Quat Quatta with the couple’s adorable dogs involved in the ceremony.
Geelong players toasted Jeremy Cameron and his partner Indiana Putra last Friday at Rosemont Stud with their cute daughter Macey at the ceremony.
Richmond’s Jayden Short married his love Maddy Bekiaris at The Trust in the city in January and former teammate Jack Graham married Jordy May in South Australia in October.
Hawthorn and St Kilda players were at new Hawk Josh Battle’s surprise engagement turned wedding last Friday.
