Aussie tennis ace and Melbourne model girlfriend split

Glamour couple Thanasi Kokkinakis and Hannah Dal Sasso have called it quits after 18 months together, with the Melbourne model unfollowing the tennis ace on social media.

Aussie tennis ace Thanasi Kokkinakis and Melbourne model and influencer Hannah Dal Sasso have quietly separated.

A glamour couple for the past 18 months, the pair was last together over Wimbledon in July and part of the US tournament season.

She has been back home, stepping out last week for fashion events with Forever New and Elliatt.

Their relationship had its ups and downs, largely due to distance and some odd moments, including last year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival when Kokkinakis and Dal Sasso were both in the Schweppes marquee but didn’t spend time together.

Dal Sasso has built a strong following on social media and has become close with other tennis partners including Costeen Hatzi, girlfriend of Kokkinakis’ close friend Nick Kyrgios, as well as US influencers Paige Lorenze and Morgan Riddle.

Tellingly Dal Sasso, who was a standout at Australian Fashion Week in Sydney, never appeared on his social media and appears to have unfollowed the athlete who recorded one of the best wins of his career when he beat Stefanos Tsitsipas at the US Open last month.

Just last week Kokkinakis spearheaded Australia’s Davis Cup campaign in Spain, claiming two brilliant singles wins to book the team’s spot in November’s finals.

The romance between Dal Sasso and Kokkinakis first came to light when spotted by the Herald Sun at the Grand Prix’s Glamour On the Grid party last year.

Dal Sasso spoke glowingly of her partner in May, telling the Herald Sun: “I like having my own name and not being someone else’s partner”.

“We just had a nice month together and I already miss him – long distance is really hard.

“Thanasi is really dedicated to his tennis and he’s putting everything into it and I’m so proud of him.”
