Melbourne ‘it’ girl Hannah Dal Sasso is rising above the pack in the fashion and sporting scene.
Dal Sasso returned from a month overseas to dominate at Australian Fashion Week in Sydney. She is loving life as the partner of tennis superstar Thanasi Kokkinakis and being a fashion content creator.
“I know in footy there are so many girlfriends and they get called WAGs, but in tennis there aren’t many and you never really see someone called that,’’ Dal Sasso said.
“I like having my own name and not being someone else’s partner.
“We just had a nice month together and I already miss him – long distance is really hard.
“Thanasi is really dedicated to his tennis and he’s putting everything into it and I’m so proud of him.”
Dal Sasso will return for Kokkinakis’ American season. Over the past year she has bonded with other tennis partners including Costeen Hatzi, Mia Savio, Morgan Riddle and Paige Lorenze.
“I struggled a lot at the start, more because I didn’t understand the rules of tennis,’’ Dal Sasso said.
“Now I enjoy being there to watch him. It’s nice to meet the other girlfriends and we all get along well.”
Dal Sasso will combine her own work with supporting Kokkinakis.
She appeared at Fashion Week with the likes of Sam Guggenheimer, Jasmine Tavares and Alana Galtieri. She styled herself and was also styled by Paul Versace from Styled by Bloom.
“We all have such different styles. I definitely dress more girly girl and more classy, dressed-up vibes,’’ she said.
“On social media everything looks glamorous and perfect, but often you’re just a normal girl who has daily dilemmas and doesn’t feel great. You just pull through and do your best.”
