Aussie snowboarder Scotty James marries Chloe Stroll in star-studded Venice wedding

Former F1 star Daniel Ricciardo has confirmed his relationship with Heidi Berger as the pair stepped out for Scotty James and Chloe Stroll’s stunning Italian wedding.

Former F1 star Daniel Ricciardo has confirmed his relationship with Heidi Berger in a rare show of his private life.

Ricciardo was a groomsman at the stunning Italian wedding of Australian snowboarding champion Scotty James who married billionaire heiress Chloe Stroll at the weekend.

Ricciardo posted pictures of the day, along with one of him and his love and the caption: “Strolling with the James’s”.

Ricciardo has reportedly been seeing model and actor Berger, the daughter 10-time Grand Prix winner Gerhard Berger, for the past four years and in a radio interview in September last year the Red Bull driver confirmed he is in love.

The Venice nuptials were a stylish affair at the stunning Gritti Palace Hotel. It was attended by Duchess of York, Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson; Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas; former British racing driver Susie Wolff plus Taylor Hill, a former Victoria’s Secret angel.

Stroll, the daughter of Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll and sister of F1 driver Lance Stroll, has been sharing on social media much of the exciting build up including gondola rides, wedding rehearsal and dinners.

James posted on social media simply with a love heart as a caption while Stroll posted an infinity emoji.

Sarah Ferguson was among those to attend.

Guests respectfully didn’t upload pictures from the day and it was speculated that Stroll would wear Versace she stunned in Dior. Her white gown with long flowing train was picture perfect as she also uploaded images from the wedding and Jewish marriage ceremony.

The party went on until the early hours with James posting an adorable video of the couple on a boat at sunrise. There was also a recovery day of celebrations.

All those attending were given ‘survival kits’ that included emergency tequila, a cap and Italian chocolate.

Former Australian F1 driver Ricciardo was among the groomsmen. James’ sister Rebecca was there with her partner, Sunrise weather presenter Sam Mac.

Wedding guests have been enjoying Venice ahead of the big day.

James, who grew up in Warrandyte and is a mad Essendon supporter, had a bucks overseas and also celebrated with some friends in Melbourne at hotspot Bar Bambi while in town for the Grand Prix in March/April.

Stroll, an aspiring singer who was introduced to James by her brother Lance, held her lavish hen’s party in the French Alps in March.

James proposed in Switzerland in November 2021.

Stroll has previously told the Herald Sun: “Lance actually called me and said, ‘I think I just found the guy you’re going to marry’.

“It was kind of strange. I had a conference in Park City (Utah), which was where his next competition was the same weekend and a lot of random things happened.

“Scotty was very cute. We dated for about four months, or as he likes to say, we got to know each other, before he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.”
