As a working mother of two, Collingwood’s first lady Alex Pendlebury is used to juggling duties.
Pendlebury went back to work for the House of Wellness TV just 10 weeks after her second child, daughter Darcy, was born seven months ago.
Now she, Darcy and son Jax, 3, are maintaining a healthy focus during lockdown and while Dad and husband Scott is interstate with the Magpies in their hub as the AFL continues.
“It’s hard separating little families on such short notice, but if it’s what we have to do to get footy back … it is their passion at the end of the day,’’ Pendlebury said.
“So in 2020 you have to make some sacrifices.
“Watching it is so good to have footy back, it’s just such an odd year and you have to take it day by day.”
Pendlebury, a nutritionist, fitness club owner, TV host and model, counts cooking as a passion and often uses natural, organic food.
She is the ambassador of Australian baby food pouch brand, Little Étoile Organic, which is the only baby food pouch on the market that is free from the 15 most common allergens as listed by Food Standards Australia New Zealand.
“Darcy is seven months now, the second time around it goes so fast,’’ Pendlebury said.
“I use this organic baby food brand, it’s healthy and nutritious and you can feed the baby when you’re not prepared.
“I love to cook and I cook all the time. Even now Darcy is a bit older I can just put it into her food.
“I try to give them both whole foods, and stay away from overly processed and sugary foods.
“I’m not too strict but I just try and make sure I have healthy options in the house and try to steer them towards it.”
