Meghan Markle closer to relaunching lifestyle blog The Tig; sizzles in black in new photos

The Duchess of Sussex looks set to relaunch her lifestyle blog The Tig. It comes as she posed for photos with her next podcast guest. See photos.

Meghan Markle wants to 'destroy' the Royal Family

Meghan Markle’s lifestyle blog ‘The Tig’ looks to make a comeback five years since her last post.

The Tig is currently under examination by the Patent and Trademark Office after an application was made 12 months ago to trademark the blog’s name.

Markle started the lifestyle blog in 2014 to share life experiences while she was working in the drama, Suits.

Named after the 41-year-old’s favourite wine, Tignanello, the blog’s last post was made in 2017, shortly before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their engagement.

The trademark will reportedly apply to five categories including, travel, interior design, recipes and personal relationships.

It comes as the Duchess posed for photos with a school principal and motivational speaker with ties to superstar Beyonce.

Kasiopia Moore, the principal of Campbell Hall in Los Angeles, revealed she will appear on Markle’s podcast Archetypes.

Moore made the announcement on Instagram with a picture of Markle, which was possibly taken at the time of the episode’s taping.

“Once upon a time with Meghan Markle,” she wrote.

“What a reminder of the magic that lives inside of all of us! And how freeing it is to be true to who we are. The Time is Now.”

Ms Moore signed off her tweet with the hashtags #totaldreamgirl #blackgirlmagic and #archetype.

Known as Kasi, the popular teacher is also a director of a mentorship program at the Where Art Can Occur Theatre in North Los Angeles, which was founded by Tina Knowles-Lawson and Richard Lawson, Beyonce’s mother and stepfather.

The Tina’s Angels and Richard’s Warriors program, of which Ms Moore is a director, aims to encourage the personal development of teens aged 14 to 18 through art.

Ms Moore also posted an Instagram story on her podcast appearance, writing: “See you next week, boo! It’s official we are besties.”

The image was branded with a sticker saying “royally obsessed”.

She did not reveal what she and Markle will discuss on the episode, which will be released on Spotify next week.

Markle has discussed a number of subjects with her guests on Archetypes, from being a diva with Mariah Carey to the stereotype of the “bimbo” with Paris Hilton.

Her latest podcast guest was First Lady of Canada Sophie Trudeau. The friends spoke about the challenges of parenting and being a partner to two famous men.

QUEEN DENIED ‘PUSHY’ HARRY DEMAND

The Queen “firmly denied” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “inappropriate” request to live at Windsor Castle, a royal expert has revealed.

According to the Sun, the Sussexes wanted their own personal quarters within Windsor Castle and made the personal request to the late Queen – just months before quitting the royal family and relocating to the US.

A report by the Times claimed the couple requested that “living quarters could be made available after their marriage” inside the castle itself.

But the Queen “firmly denied” the couple and instead gifted them Frogmore Cottage, the publication reports.

The revelation comes as the monarchy braces for the release of Prince Harry’s bombshell memoirs – controversially titled Spare – on January 10 next year.

MEGHAN’S ‘CRUSHING GUILT’

Meanwhile, Markle has opened up about the “crushing guilt” she says she feels while being a mum and a wife in the public eye, why studying for her British citizenship was “so hard” and Lilibet passing a major milestone.

The Duchess of Sussex again laid her life bare during the latest episode of her Archetypes podcast, which features her “dear friend”, Canada’s first lady, Sophie Trudeau.

Markle and Mrs Trudeau met seven years ago at Toronto’s fashion week, when the former actress was working on the legal drama, Suits, in the city.

“She knows what it feels like to be a mum and a partner,” Markle said during the podcast's introduction.

“And specifically a mum and a partner in the public eye, and also how crushing the guilt of expectations can become the guilt that we feel as mothers or as women, in general, is self-imposed.”

It comes as former Brexit leader and GB News host Nigel Farage accused Markle of wanting to “destroy the royal family”, saying “laughing boy” Prince Harry has been going along with it.

Mr Farage said the whole situation is “desperately sad”.

“In the end, it’s not the monarchy they’re damaging, it’s themselves,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“They will finish up utterly and entirely friendless and with nobody interested in what they have to say.”

Jennie Bond, former royal correspondent for the BBC, said Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir will “trample on people”.

“I don’t think Harry’s a vindictive man and I don’t think he would hurt his family unnecessarily or wilfully,” Bond told OK magazine. “But I think Harry wants closure and I think (the royal family) are going to be the collateral damage in his journey towards that closure.

“I’m afraid people are going to get trampled on by this book. ‘Raw and unflinching’ aren’t words the palace will be happy to hear.”

MEGHAN REVEALS LILIBET’S MILESTONE

Markle also revealed during the podcast that Lilibet had reached a major milestone.

“Lili has just started walking.

“She’s a year and a couple of months old and Archie’s just over three years old.”

She added: “Oh, I’m in the thick of it.”

Markle and Mrs Trudeau reminisced about a lunch at the Sussexes’ California mansion, saying they “drank wine on the terrace” and were “giddy like absolute schoolgirls”.

“This wasn’t our day of being the wives and mums, all perfectly quaffed with updos and pearls and demure smiles.

“This was the other version of us both with wild curly hair and swimsuits and loose linen and huge belly laughs. Big cuddles with our little ones, quiet whispers of girl talk on the terrace, giddy like absolute schoolgirls. We were just having so much fun.”

Markle also opened up on her private family life, describing how “very important” it is for her to make breakfast for Prince Harry, Archie and Lilibet in the mornings.

“I make breakfast for all three of them – I love doing it,” she said.

“The morning rush I’m sure it’ll only get more chaotic as they get older,” Markle said.

“But for me, it’s, you know, both monitors on for the kids to hear them, always up with Lily, get her downstairs, then a half-hour later Archie’s up,” she said.

She went on to say she “start[s] doing his lunch box right before he’s up while I have her, getting her a little nibble, and my husband helps me [to] get him downstairs. For me it’s just feels like the greatest way to start the morning,” she added.

“And then it’s get Archie out the door for school and, you know, but it does, it feels like a whirlwind,” she said.

US actor/director Pamela Adlon also features on the episode. The pair met at a birthday lunch for famed American feminist, Gloria Steinem.

Adlon says that she hopes “dad is being a good contributor to kid time”.

“Oh, my husband?” Markle responds. “He’s great.”

She also opened up on studying for her British citizenship, although it’s not entirely clear whether she actually took the test.

“That citizenship exam is so hard,” she said.

“I was studying for it and I remember going. Oh my goodness.”

And she revealed she would often ask Prince Harry on the questions that came up.

“I would ask my husband, ‘Did you know this? Did you know this?’” Markle said.

“And he would say: ‘I had no idea.’”
