Why Rebecca Judd is skipping this year’s Brownlow red carpet

It’s been 15 years since that infamous red dress catapulted Rebecca Judd to stardom at the Brownlow. But the uber WAG will be a glaring absentee at this year’s best and fairest — this is why.

Rebecca Judd will be a noticeable no-show at the Brownlow this year.

The über influencer is ditching the glitz and glam of the red carpet to visit her sister Kate in Perth.

Kate, an influencer in her own right with more than 62,000 followers, is expecting her second child any day now and Rebecca is keen to head west to meet the newest addition to the family and see her mum Kerry.

Former AFL star and dual Brownlow winner Chris Judd will be left to navigate the red carpet solo.

It’s the second time footy’s most fashionable former WAG has opted out of the AFL’s night of nights after missing the awards in 2016 and 2017.

This season marks 15 years since she stepped out in that infamous red dress and changed the Brownlow red carpet forever.

Since then, she has topped the Brownlow best-dressed lists in a stunning array of gowns predominantly designed by Melbourne’s couture kings J’Aton.

Fashion followers will surely miss the style standout, but there will still be plenty of WAGs to watch including Brit Davis, Jordan Ablett, Emma Hawkins, Jessie Murphy and Alex Pendlebury.
