Nicky and Lucy Brownless have opened up on their special Christmas, the first time the family had been together in more than a year.

Lucy, who has been living in Byron Bay, returned to be with her three siblings and dad Billy Brownless at a lunch hosted by Nicky and her partner Garry Lyon at their rural retreat in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.

“I just said, everyone get on a plane,” Nicky said. “It was nice to be together.”

Nicky and Lucy hadn’t seen each other for five months.

On Tuesday, they were joined at the Australian Open by their daughter and sister Ruby and her partner Josh Wallis as guests of Piper-Heidsieck.

Lucy said: “We’re all really close and I hadn’t been back since April. Even doing things like this at the tennis, it’s nice to be social.”

Lucy said she was enjoying her time in the popular NSW beach spot.

She is also looking for new management.

“I’m working for a local wellness company, working on our new venture Bless and modelling,” she said. “It keeps me busy. I’m open to anything.”

Their brother and former Cats player Oscar is heading to Adelaide to work and play footy.
