Lucy, Ruby and Nicky Brownless open up about their close relationship

Lucy and Ruby Brownless have opened up about their close relationship with mum, Nicky.

Lucy and Ruby Brownless have spoken of their bond with their ‘role model’ mum Nicky ahead of Mother’s Day.

In their first fashion shoot together, the three women who could pass as sisters, say they cherish their special relationship.

“Mum is, for Ruby and I, a huge role model,’’ Lucy said.

“We look up to her for everything and she’s always got great advice and we are like friends as well so that makes our bond and relationship so special.

“We have a lot of the same interests and we really do enjoy spending time together and hanging out. We’re all very passionate about wellness and sharing new things with each other. It just works for us, the dynamic is so nice and we are very lucky to be so close.”

The three Brownless girls feature in the Forever New Mother’s Day campaign which highlights inspiring mother-daughter relationships.

Lucy and Ruby are also close with their dad, former Geelong star Billy Brownless, and brothers Oscar and Max, while Nicky has now moved on with Garry Lyon.

Lucy, 25, calls Byron Bay home; Ruby, 23, is in Melbourne and Nicky spends time on her farm, but they intend to be together on Mother’s Day, May 9.

“Typically we love to travel together and be away but this year is a bit tricky so we love to cook,’’ Ruby said.

“Mum loves to cook and Nan has all her recipes as well.”

Lucy added: “The boys are close with their dad as well, and as you get older you appreciate that a bit more.

“Even with our brothers they are getting to that age where we can hang out with each other and just enjoy the little things together so it’s really nice.”
