MAYBE it's best that Woody Allen didn't show up to collect his lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes.

The director wasn't getting much love, despite the accolade.

Many in Hollywood appear to find his marriage to Soon-Yi Previn - the adopted daughter of his Allen's former girlfriend, Mia Farrow - still controversial.

When his name was announced at the beginning of the telecast by co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, many in the room appeared to sit on their hands. Only light applause was heard.

Later in the show as the Allen tribute got underway, Farrow tweeted, "Nite all."

Ronan Farrow, the son of Mia and Allen, also took a shot at his father on Twitter, writing, "Missed the Woody Allen tribute - did they put the part where a woman publicly confirmed he molested her at age 7 before or after Annie Hall?"

Mia Farrow retweeted her son's tweet along with thousands of other Twitter users.

In 1992, Farrow's daughter Dylan claimed Allen had touched her inappropriately. The resulting court case was eventually dropped.

One person who is still on Allen's side is Diane Keaton, his former girlfriend and leading lady in "Annie Hall."

She accepted Allen's award on his behalf, giving a kooky speech that lauded the writer-director's "unforgettable female characters."

Keaton concluded by singing the Girl Scout staple "Make New Friends" for no apparent reason.
