Golden Globes 2026: All the nominations
The 2026 Golden Globes nominations list has been released – and it’s brought with it some big surprises.
The 2026 Golden Globes nominations have been unveiled – and the second and final chapter in musical juggernaut Wicked has been snubbed from a major category.
Part one attracted six nods, including in the Best Picture (musical or comedy) category, last year, but Wicked: For Good has been shut-out of that category entirely for the upcoming ceremony.
However, it’s good news for its stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who have both once again been named in the Best Supporting Actress category, with five nominations for the film overall.
Meanwhile, the Sydney Sweeney-led boxing biopic Christy failed to land a single nomination - including for the actress herself.
The Golden Globes is the first major ceremony in the annual awards calendar and honours the best of film and TV. For the first time this year, podcasts have also been included.
The 2026 contenders were read by actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P Marshall on Monday, US time, and Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another led the pack with nine nominations, including Best Picture, Director and Screenwriter, Best Actor recognition for its lead and Supporting Actor nods for Benicio Del Toro and Sean Penn.
Sentimental Value is in second with eight nominations and then Sinners with seven.
Over on the TV side, The White Lotus emerged in front with six nominations, followed by Netflix’s Adolescence with five and Severance and Only Murders in the Building with four.
Aussie star Sarah Snook was recognised for her work in Binge’s All Her Fault, scoring a nod in the Best Actress in a Limited Series category.
The 2026 Golden Globes will air in Australia on January 12.
