Golden Globes 2026: Jacob Elordi, Joel Edgerton, Sarah Snook, Rose Byrne nominated

The Golden Globe nominations are in and Australian stars have been nominated across a host of major categories. SEE THE FULL LIST.

From a misunderstood monster to moving portrayals of triumph over adversity, Australian actors have outdone themselves garnering an impressive five nominations ahead of the 2026 Golden Globe awards.

Jacob Elordi leads the pack with two nominations for separate projects.

Elordi is nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of The Creature in Frankenstein.

He also got a nod for Best Performance by a Male Actor for his part in Aussie miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North which is based on the book by acclaimed Australian novelist Richard Flanagan.

Frankenstein was a standout, also receiving nominations for Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Original Score.

Fellow Aussie Joel Edgerton scored a nod in the top category of Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his work in the lead role in Train Dreams.

Train Dreams was also nominated for Best Original Song.

Australian Rose Byrne also garnered a top nomination in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category for her starring role in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.

Beloved Succession star Sarah Snook is also flying the Australian flag with a nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor for her lead role in miniseries All Her Fault.

All Her Fault was also nominated for Best Limited Series.

Hugh Jackman missed out on a nod for his role in Neil Diamond tribute act musical Song Sung Blue but his co-star Kate Hudson was nominated.
