Emmys host Andy Samberg’s funniest moments

ANDY Samberg has a plan to liven up the Emmys a little, promising to keep it “light, silly and fun” when he hosts TV’s night of nights.

The 37-year-old comedian says he holds Golden Globes hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey as the current “standard” for award-show hosts, which we think is a pretty good benchmark for humour.

Samberg, who is an actor, comedian, singer, writer and producer has been an asset to comedy for some time.

He’s best known for his work with The Lonely Island which landed him a role on Saturday Night Live, but he’s really come into his own as a cast member on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

So how will Samberg do as Emmys host?

Let’s hope we can expect some impressions at the Emmys as solid as this Mark Wahlberg effort. It is so on point, if you closed your eyes you’d swear it was Mark Wahlberg talking.

I’m On A Boat:

If you haven’t seen Lonely Island’s I’m On A Boat, you must have been living under, well, a boat? Featuring T-Pain, it was hilarious and also catchy as hell. Yes it inspired an entire generation to not be able to be on a floating vessel without screaming “I’m On A Boat,” but it was worth it.

Shy Ronnie feat Rihanna:

Promise you’ll watch this until Shy Ronnie gets his to use his “outside voice” at 0.50 and just try not to laugh. PS Why is your gun so small?

Dick In A Box

You read that correctly. Props to Justin Timberlake for being brave enough to sing about his peen as a present.

Taco Town

So the taco is the real star here, but Andy Samberg is in it and it’s hilarious, so it gets an inclusion.

Get in the Cage:

Two Nicholas Cages? You’re not dreaming. Could anyone nail the Cage better than Andy Samberg? The answer is no and this clip proves why.
