WANT to know more about your favourite stars than what they’re wearing on the Emmys red carpet or how long it took them to get ready?

Amy Poehler did too, and she made it her mission to find out.

The comedian and actress launched the #SmartGirlsAsk campaign last week which encouraged fans to submit intelligent questions to ask the biggest stars of the Emmys.

Hillary Clinton, Katie Couric and Britney Spears were just some of the high profile stars to throw their support behind the initiative on Twitter, while celebs such Amy Schumer, Jamie-Lee Curtis and Liev Schreiber were happy to answer #SmartGirlsAsk questions live on the Emmys red carpet.

Poehler, who teamed up with Twitter to make it happen, said she was thrilled with the response.

“I’m happy to let fans ask interesting questions to interesting people,” she said of the campaign.
