Dad sentenced for incest with adult daughter
AN estranged father and daughter who reconnected over Facebook met twice in Gold Coast hotels after their messages inexplicably turned sexual.
The dad, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told police he knew it was wrong when the pair engaged in sexual intercourse.

ACCUSED Mongols bikie Harley Barbaro was warned four times before he breached an anti-consorting notice 96 times in four months to have conversations with his “best friends”.
The 28-year-old was issued with multiple consorting notices banning him from contacting about 50 people who were classed as recognised offenders.

Burleigh bar owner learns fate over choking
GOLD Coast bar owner Jonathan Debeere has been sentenced to two years’ jail for choking a woman in 2015.
But he will not spend a day behind bars, with the NSW District Court today ordering the sentence be served as an intensive correction order, meaning he can remain in the community.
As part of the intensive correction order, Debeere will be required to participate in treatment programs and undergo psychological counselling.
