SEVERAL drivers have been busted by police allegedly drink driving throughout the Tweed.

One Murwillumbah woman is accused of drunk driving more than three time the legal limit.

The 25-year-old woman was stopped for a random breath test about 6pm on Tuesday on Main St, Murwullimbah, and allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.159.

She was arrested and charged with high-range drink driving and will face Murwillumbah Local Court on September 24.

On Friday night a Terranora man was stopped for a random breath test on Kennedy Dr, Tweed Heads, and also returned a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.103.

The 19-year-old was arrested and charged with mid-range drink driving and will face Tweed Heads Local Court on September 30.

In the early hours of Saturday a Bilambil Heights man was also allegedly caught drink driving at Chinderah.

Police stopped the man about 2am and was arrested after returning a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.095.

The 38-year-old man will face Tweed Heads Local Court on September 9.
