Gold Coast crime: Police search for school vandals

Police are searching for two vandals who covered a Gold Coast school in graffiti – with the school saying it is the worst attack they have encountered.

POLICE are searching for two youths who vandalised a Gold Coast school on Tuesday night.

Pictures shared by Pimpama State Secondary College showed two people in hoodies and face masks using spray paint to deface the school, which caters for almost 2000 students in the fast-growing suburb.

The school said it was the first time in almost eight years it had been forced to deal with such vandalism.

The school said it was the first time since it opened in January 2013 that it had suffered vandalism of this kind.

A Queensland Police spokesperson said investigations were ongoing into graffiti attacks on a number of building in Pimpama on Tuesday night and in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
