A GOLD Coast duo threatened to stab and kill a friend, stole his gold jewellery and pushed him from a moving car in a co-ordinated robbery.

Jack Allan Smith and Lovely Stadlmann left their mate on the side of an Oxenford road after the October 4, 2019 robbery.

Smith, 23, pleaded guilty in the Southport District Court on Friday to armed robbery with violence and deprivation of liberty.

Stadlmann, 31, pleaded guilty to robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Judge Bernard Porter sentenced Smith to four years in prison with parole release on December 10 this year. Stadlmann was sentenced to two years prison with parole eligibility on December 6 this year.

“It was a pretty serious example of a street robbery,” Judge Porter said.

Prosecutor Emily Coley said Smith and Stadlmann met the man at the Oxenford Tavern and lured him into the car park.

Smith pulled a knife and pressed it into his back.

“He said: ‘I will stab the f*** out of you right now’ and ‘get in the f***ing car or I will kill you’,” she said.

Ms Coley said the trio got into a stolen car Stadlmann had driven to the tavern, and drove off.

In the car, Smith put his arm around the man’s neck and pulled off his gold rings and necklace.

Stadlmann was screaming: “Where are we going? Did you get the gold?”

The pair then pushed the man out of the car, which was moving slowly, and drove off.

He was left with grazes to his wrists and legs.

The jewellery was found at a pawn shop days later.
