Bikies in Australia: A short history

A FORMER Finks bikie accused of raping a woman 19 times and taping her breast so her implants ruptured was released on bail on Tuesday.

The 61-year-old man is facing more than 31 charges in the Southport Magistrates Court including 19 of rape, two of deprivation of liberty and one of torture.

It is alleged he drugged the woman’s wine using what she believed was the drug ice and then raped her.

Documents tendered to the court also allege the woman found photos of her breast with electrical tape around them separating the implants from the natural tissue.

The woman does not remember the incident, it is alleged.

The woman allegedly went to her doctor for chest pain and was told her implants had ruptured and her breasts had deformities.

The ex-bikie, who cannot be named for legal reasons, wore a maroon jumper when he appeared in court on Tuesday.

When he entered the courtroom he looked around and appeared disappointed when he did not see a female friend there. She arrived soon after.

She blew him a kiss as she entered the courtroom and saw him in the dock.

Magistrate Cameron McKenzie granted bail.

“It is not alleged any further offences have occurred in the last 10 months,” he said.

“I am not satisfied that the complainant is a risk of further offences.”

Mr McKenzie imposed strict conditions including not leaving the state and having no contact with the alleged victim.

Defence lawyer Bettina Webb, of Howden Saggers Lawyers, argued that the ex-bikie only needed to report to police once a week.

“I could make it once and have a GPS tracker,” Magistrate McKenzie said.

The ex-bikie piped up form the dock: “I would rather report twice a week.”

Magistrate McKenzie ordered he report to police every Monday and Friday.

The matter was adjourned to November 10.
