HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars of drug money has been found hidden in light fixtures at a Coomera home, police allege.
Police raided the home this week in relation to an ongoing investigation into an drug operation. They found about $369,000 in cash, along with a large amount of cocaine and ice.

Two men, both from Coomera, aged 32 and 27, were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and six other drug offences, including possess property obtained from drug trafficking.

Officer in charge of the Coomera Criminal Investigation Branch, Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Procter expected further arrests in coming weeks from drug investigations.
“As part of an ongoing operation on the Northern Gold Coast involving the distribution and supply of dangerous drugs including Cocaine and Methylamphetamine (ICE) Detectives from Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch executed two simultaneous search Warrants at 2 addresses in Coomera,” he said.

“These raids form part of an ongoing operation and police expect further offenders to be arrested in the coming weeks.”
