Alleged bikie Garry Brush charged with murder of Shane Ross and Cameron Martin

The lawyer for an alleged Lone Wolf bikie charged with the murder of ex-bikie Shane Ross and his business partner Cameron Martin has said he will “definitely” be fighting the charges.

A THIRD alleged bikie accused of the murder of ex-bikie Shane Ross and his business partner Cameron Martin will remain in prison for the coming weeks.

Garry James Brush asked to be brought into the Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday where he faces two counts of murder and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Brush wore a green prison jumper and shorts and “fist bumped” his solicitor through the glass of the dock.

He also smiled and waved at two of his supporters sitting in the public gallery.

Defence lawyer Ashkan Tai, of Ashkan Tai Lawyers, asked the matter to be adjourned for a brief to be ordered on March 18.

Mr Tai said the matter would eventually be married up with his co-accused Brodie Jeet Singh and Nathan John Miller.

Miller and Singh are also alleged to be members of the Lone Wolf bikie gang.

It is alleged the murders of Mr Ross and Mr Martin were “undertaken and planned” by Singh, Miller and Brush “over a period of time”.

Mr Ross, a former Comancheros bikie gang member, and Mr Martin were shot dead near Martin Shiels Park in Tallebudgera in October 2019.

Mr Martin was located deceased in his vehicle around 9.30pm on Friday October 18, 2019.

The car had crashed into a tree off Tallebudgera Creek Rd.

Mr Martin had sustained a puncture wound to his chest shortly before the crash.

Three days later, 36-year-old Shane Ross was located deceased in bushland on the corner of the Pacific Highway and Tallebudgera Creek Rd.

Outside of court Mr Tai said Brush would “definitely” be fighting the charges.

He declined to comment further.

ALLEGED Lone Wolf bikie Garry James Brush has been charged with the alleged murders of ex-bikie Shane Ross and his business partner.

Brush, 32, faced an extradition hearing in the Grafton Local Court on Wednesday, where Magistrate Jeff Linden ordered he be sent to Queensland to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.

An arrest warrant for two counts of murder with a “serious organised crime” circumstance of aggravation and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle had previously been issued for Brush.

Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch and the Homicide Investigation Unit today charged Brush with the murders of Ross, a former Comanchero, and his Monstr business partner Cameron Martin, when he arrived at the Southport Watchhouse.

He was also charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle after being escorted by police from NSW.

Brush was at Mr Ross’s funeral, where he sat among friends of the bikie turned Monstr clothing businessman, the Bulletin has previously revealed.

He was also at Mr Ross’s mother’s funeral five weeks before his execution-style death.

Two other men, Nathan Miller and Brodie Singh, both of Coolangatta, were charged in March with two counts each of ­murder in relation to Mr Ross and Mr Martin’s deaths.

The pair are also alleged to be linked to the Lone Wolf Motorcycle Gang.
